This project involved the design, supply, and installation of a solar (PV) system for a 14,000 sq ft warehouse in Huddersfield belonging to a home furnishing manufacturer.
Our surveyors carried out a detailed site survey to determine optimal panel placement and system configuration to maximize energy yield.
The system comprises: 120 x Longi 500W solar PV panels and 1 x Solax Power X3 MEGA inverter, providing a total capacity of 60kWp usable by the building with the aim to reduce the warehouse’s reliance on the national grid, lowering energy costs and the carbon footprint. A system of this size would expect to make co2 savings of approximately 227 tonnes over 20 years.
Financially, the system is designed for long-term savings and will achieve full payback in under 4 years, making it a highly cost-effective investment. It offers substantial economic and environmental benefits and is expected to generate over 942,012 kWh of electricity, producing savings of over £250k over 20 years.
Post-installation, remote system performance monitoring is carried out to ensure optimal operation. We also conduct regular drone surveys as part of the preventative maintenance regime assigned to the installation.
This MCS accredited installation adheres to all relevant building regulations and safety standards.
